learning the piano is more than learning an instrument – It’s a lifestyle and commitment.
Joanne helps her students to find confidence, joy, and passion through playing the piano. Furthermore, she sets goals for her students to explore their boundaries, and she takes parent-teacher communication seriously.
In Joanne’s teaching, she encourages students to try and to challenge themselves. Moreover, she considers creativity, logical thinking, listening skills, and emotional development all essential parts to learning the piano. She also emphasizes on building strength, flexibility, and control in the body for her students. Most of all, Joanne adjusts her piano teaching method depending on the individual’s personal backgrounds, strengths, and interests.
Under Joanne’s guidance, students will build strong foundations. In addition, students will learn how to express, communicate through artistic performances of various styles of music, including creating their own.
Joanne holds a Master in Piano Performance from NYU and a Bachelor in Piano Performance from Manhattan School of Music, under the guidance of Martin Canin and Arkady Aronov.
